OSAKA EXPO 2025

We just returned from a month in Japan and during our time there, we visited the Osaka Expo 2025 for two of the days.   Must say it was an amazing experience.  Despite some significant missteps in the first few opening days, by the time we arrived two weeks later, they had been worked out and we had a great time.  Click here for our full video detailing the experience.

The Grand Ring is simply jaw dropping and is the largest wooden structure in the world, with a circumference of 1.25 miles.  It is HUGE!  We only walked perhaps 1/4 of it at most.

Inside the ring were dozens and dozens of amazingly designed pavilions representing 150+/- countries and corporations.  Some were more elaborate than others, and some really impressed us such as the Canada and Kuwait pavilions.  The theme of the expo centered around sustainable living for the future, and thus much of the subject matter focused on alternative energy sources and environmental matters.  But beyond that there were concerts, water shows, light shows, and all manner of technology displays.

If you are expecting to be in Osaka from now until October 13th (the closing day), I encourage you to attend.  And if you do plan on attending and need accommodations, then click here to watch our in depth review of seven hotels that are convenient to the Expo.
